Your Tour Overview…this is a one day hiking trip for pilgrims and those who like it easy and gentle in a more softer part of the wild…
The Champa Devi Single Day Hiking Tour takes us to a cosy hill station southwest of the ancient valley of Kathmandu. Champdevi is a pilgrimage site situated at an altitude of 2285m. The area has a Buddhist Stupa and a Hindu shrine that dates back to olden times.
We begin early in the morning with a cruise from Kathmandu for about an hour to a bustling little village town called Pharping which is 16 kilometers south of Kathmandu and lies on the way to Dakshinkali Temple.
Our one day trek begins on a trail which heads north along a pine forested ridge that takes about half an hour, the trail then swings on a round about curve towards south and takes another 3-hour’s walk to reach Champadevi. The views of the central and western Himalayan ranges are simply outstanding from hereabouts. After enjoying the splendid views and visiting the monastery and the temple, we hike downwards following the same route to Pharping for about 2 hours and drive easy back to Kathmandu. This one day trip is enough to invoke our spiritual senses or bring us ever so close to that wonderful thing we all look for in life – Mother Nature.
