One of the classic,adventourous and most rewarding treks in the Himalayas and probably in this globe offering grand views of the three highest 8000m mountain range, from Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Mt. Manaslu mountain range, including arrays of over 6000m snow capped peaks. This trail follows all the way to its source at the glacial lake in Manang and beyond. The walk passes through the tarrain of rural farm villages, farm fields from the sub-tropic, climate to the arctic landscape and through the rain forest to the alpine woodlands.
These High mountain in the southern slopes are heavily settled and farmed, but the higher regions support thick forests of rhododendron and fir, most of the tribal inhabitants are Gurungs, Magars, Chhetris and the Newars. Towards the further north lives the Manang people of Tibetan origin. Trek follows above the tree line and finally over towards Thorungla, 5,416m pass with amazing views of the surrounding landscapes and majestic peaks.
Finally the trek leads to the top of Thorungla that reaches the highest elevation of this trek. From here the trail descends down to Muktinath which is holy site for the Hindus and the Buddist. Holy water spouts in Muktinath is one of the sources of the Kali Gandaki River as well. This grand trek leads the world’s deepest gorge of Kali Gandaki River valley and passing the charming villages of Jomsom, Marpha-Tukuche, Tatopani (hot spring) and Ghorepani (Poon Hill) ending the trek at Pokhara which is also said as ''Heaven on Earth".
